High Burnside is located some 7 miles South West of Glasgow International Airport and is easily accessed from the M8 and the A737. Braehead Shopping Centre is 9 miles away and Glasgow City centre 12 miles. There are good rail links to and from Glasgow Central station from Johnstone.

From Junction 28A M8 take the A737 towards Irvine. At the 3rd junction (Kilbarchan) turn left and follow signs to Howwood. After 2nd roundabout turn left into Auchengreoch Road. After speed derestriction signs turn right into single-track road, then keeping left at every junction, follow road up to the house at the top of the hill.
